Sports Day was held on the cricket circle in Poole Park.

Lines were marked for races and the relay took place around the edge.
Several parents were notable for their help over the years but Mr Turner was particularly famous as the starter of races with a rather loud pistol.
(Now in the editors possession with original cartridges, along with the leather bound tape measure!!)

'Radio House' of  Poole provided the public address system, using their portable equipment mounted on an orange Morris Van.

Two of the black and white group photographs featured were taken by Eric H.H. Greaves, 45 Churchill Road, Parkstone.

................. and the sun always shone!!

The swimming gala was held at the old open air baths in Kingland Crescent.
Alas, as yet we have no photographic record apart from a short sequence on the 1967 film.

The three black and white group shots are shown on this page.

The 46 colour pictures taken in 1966 can be viewed on subsequent pages.
