THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS ARE:
Entrance examination in two parts (1) Drawing - portraits - with pencil, still life with pencil, still life in water colour or crayon, all from memory. (2) Tests in grammar, literature, mathematics and exercises for finding out the applicants creative abilities.

REQUIREMENTS WHICH ARE ESSENTIAL FOR ENTRY ONTO THE COURSE ARE:

• Evidence of creative or artistic ability by presentation of a folio or test.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The Department of Photography is one of 12 departments in the Secondary School for Fine and Applied Arts. A student with a qualification from this School can work in all fields of photography or continue their studies on the Department of Visual Communications of the University of Applied Arts where it is possible to study both photography and video. With the exception of technical schools ours is the only secondary school where photography is taught for 14-18 year olds. Courses started in 1920.
