THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS ARE:
A matric certificate/senior certificate or equivalent qualification. Recommended subjects: Mathematics, science or biology, art.

REQUIREMENTS WHICH ARE DESIRABLE FOR ENTRY ONTO THE COURSE ARE:

• Some professional experience in a job of which photography was a part.
• A lower level of course of which general art or graphics was a part.
• Evidence of creative or artistic ability by presentation of a folio or test.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The photography course consists of a minimum 3 year Diploma. Students may then advance to a 4th year Higher Diploma, 5th year Masters Diploma in Technology and 7th year Laureatus qualification. The department contains two fully equipped black and white darkrooms, colour darkroom, colour processing laboratory, audio visual studio and projection room. It also has a fully equipped studio with 35mm, medium and large format cameras and studio and portable flash systems.
